Colin Stetson & Brìghde Chaimbeul (duo), Space Lady, Clarice Jensen

Colin Stetson and Brìghde Chaimbeul come together for a special duo performance of their collaborative album All the Light in the World, with the support from the legendary Space Lady (extremely rare NYC performance) and cellist + composer Clarice Jensen, performing music from her latest album, In holiday clothing, out of the great darkness.

About the artists…

For nearly two decades, Colin Stetson has stood as a distinctive voice in contemporary music, known for pushing the saxophone beyond conventional form through circular breathing, percussive mechanics, and multiphonics. His work spans acclaimed solo records, collaborations with artists across experimental and independent music, and celebrated film and television scores including Hereditary, The Menu, and Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen.

Brìghde Chaimbeul has emerged as a leading force in the revival and reimagining of Celtic folk traditions. Rooted in the language and musical heritage of the Isle of Skye, her work with the Scottish smallpipes transforms traditional forms into hypnotic, minimalist compositions that feel timeless and exploratory at once. Her recent recordings have earned international acclaim for their emotional depth and fearless approach to tradition.

Together, Colin Stetson and Brìghde Chaimbeul create a sound that is elemental and transportive: waves of breath, reed, resonance, and silence unfolding in real time. All the Light in the World captures the rare chemistry between two artists who approach folk and experimental music not as fixed genres, but as living, evolving languages.

The Space Lady

Transmitting messages of peace and harmony, The Space Lady began her odyssey on the streets of Boston in the late 1970s, then in San Francisco during the ’80s and ‘90s. She became an instant icon for wearing her singular blinking winged helmet, while playing unique versions of contemporary pop music on a retro/futuristic sounding Casio keyboard fed through a phase shifter, matched with her ethereal, echoing vocals. The Space Lady creates an otherworldly sound that has captured the imaginations of Outsider Music fans, amassing her a large cult following around the world.

Clarice Jensen

Clarice Jensen is a composer and cellist based in New York who graduated with a BM and MM from the Juilliard School. As a solo artist, Jensen has developed a distinctive compositional approach, improvising and layering her cello through shifting loops and a chain of electronic effects to open out and explore a series of rich, drone-based sound fields. Pulsing, visceral and full of color, her work is deeply immersive, marked by a wonderful sense of restraint and an almost hallucinatory clarity. Meditative yet with a sculptural sharpness and rigor that sets it apart from the swathe of New Age / DIY droners, she has forged a very elegant and precise vision.
